Description
A honeybee flies toward a Rock Purslane (Calandrinia grandiflora) blossom on a blustery windy day at a shopping center in Larkspur, California.
Several bees were busy visiting the vibrant magenta/lavender blossoms of this tender perennial succulent, a good sign that these Very Important Pollinators are alive and well at least in this part of Marin County north of San Francisco.
Honeybee experts encourage everyone to use natural alternatives to pesticides and to plant bee-friendly flowering plants to assure the health of these hard workers which pollinate a third of our crops.
"But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19, KJV
