Description

An inquisitive deer and this photographer make eye contact in the garden.

Pictured is a Columbian blacktailed deer (Odocoileus hemionus columbianus), visiting a bamboo hillside in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is one of approximately ten recognized subspecies of the mule deer. Its range extends from Northern California to the Pacific Northwest and into British Columbia, Canada.

May we take time each precious day to pause and reflect on the goodness of the Creator.
