This is a panoramic view of the Biblical Old City district of Jerusalem, Israel showing the ancient steps leading up to where the Second Jewish Temple once stood (center, left in photo). Historians believe it is quite possible that the Son of God, Yeshua Jesus, walked these very stairs.
I took this photo in November 2009 from the Mount of Olives looking westward toward the Holy City. The peace and presence of the Lord Himself were so powerfully felt as I stood in complete awe beholding the apple of His eye.
The words of King David 3,000 years ago echo through the corridors of time to the present ::
"Jerusalem is built as a city which is compact together,
Where the tribes go up,
The tribes of the Lord,
To the Testimony of Israel,
To give thanks to the name of the Lord."
- Psalm 122:3-4
A very popular Israeli song, "Jerusalem of Gold" (Hebrew = ירושלים של זהב Yerushalayim Shel Zahav) was written by Naomi Shemer in 1967. It describes the Jewish people's 2,000-year dream to return to their Homeland, which was realized on May 14, 1948 with the supernatural re-birth as the modern State of Israel, followed by the re-unification of Jerusalem on June 7, 1967 just three weeks after Shemer's song was published.
One day, Messiah Yeshua Jesus will return to this supernatural city of God.

I love seeing your pictures of the Holy Land. My Ronnie, who passed away this past March, was some years ago invited to deliver an accountancy paper in Israel. While there is walked every inch possible all over the Holy Land, even went up to Masada. When I see your pictures, they reminds me of my Ronnie, makes me sad, but also very happy that he got a chance to be there.
