Description

The autumn glow of quaking aspens (Poplus tremuloides) puts on a spectacular display of royal beauty, the likes of which I had never seen before in California.

I was able to visit this part of June Lake Loop, Inyo National Forest in the Eastern Sierra, October 2017 when the fall colors were at their prime. The only other time I’ve seen such autumn extravagance was during a trip to Virginia and the Carolinas many years ago.

Like my other photo entitled, “California Gold”, this image has the colors un-edited, straight out of camera to show how amazing the golden aspen trees looked when I visited.

Each and every day, may we give thanks to the Creator from Whom all blessings flow.

Indeed, the secret to a life of fulfillment is found in Psalm 100, verses 4 and 5:

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

"For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations."
