Artist's Description
A female mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos) dries off after a bath, her magnificent wings raised in praise to the Creator ~ a dress rehearsal for that Great Day when "every living being joined the angelic choir. Every creature in heaven and on earth, under the earth, in the sea, and everything in them, were worshiping with one voice, saying: ‘Praise, honor, glory, and dominion be to God-Enthroned and to Christ the Lamb forever and ever!’”
~ Revelation 5:13, The Passion Translation (TPT)
This photo was taken after a ten-minute wait in a frigid blustery wind along Richardson Bay near Mill Valley, California in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I felt a Holy Spirit nudge to stay with this bird using my telephoto lens to keep back 40 feet away. Suddenly, the mallard dipped quickly in the bay waters and erupted in a lively wing flap, captured here for your viewing enjoyment.
