A honeybee prepares to land on a Milkmaids flower (Cardamine californica) in a wildflower area by Richardson Bay near Mill Valley, California, spring of 2015.
Proverbs 16:24 declares:: "Pleasant words are honeycomb -- sweet to the soul and healing to the bones" [Tree of Life Bible (TLV)].
Our words have power! Indeed, life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). We have a choice: we can either complain about circumstances and people and thereby curse our God-given blessings, or focus on the Lord, the Creator of the universe, and the "blessings in disguise" He wants to reveal as we make a conscious decision from the heart to give thanks to Him in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We get to choose! May we choose wisely, using our words as honey-sweet tools of healing to bless others, to the glory of God.
