A Monarch butterfly in flight prepares to land on verbena lilacina blossoms in a California native wildflower garden near Mill Valley.

I prayed to God for guidance in writing the narrative for this photo. I felt the Lord directing me to closely observe the orange and black colors on the Monarch’s wings. These colors might bring to remembrance about a certain annual “event” on October 31st.

However, I felt God saying if COVID-19 has taught anything, it is that life can change literally overnight ~ and we cannot afford to go back to business as usual.

The time in which we live is too crucial for that.

And the stakes could not be higher.

God wants us to step up to a higher level of maturity and discernment.

One day, we will stand before God to give an account of how we lived our life on earth.
