Tiny violas show their adorable faces amid marigolds, coneflowers, petunias, blue lobelia, sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima) and a plethora of colorful flowering plants in this microcosm view of a garden exhibit at the 2016 Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa, California.
Since its beginning in 1952, the Sonoma County fairground's Hall of Flowers annual exhibit has developed into the largest flower show on the West Coast as of this writing, and is one of the largest themed flower shows of any fair in the United States.
Gardeners in amateur and professional divisions compete with spectacular displays that delight visitors from throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California and beyond. It takes nearly four months to transform the cavernous multi-purpose building and overflow display area into a summertime horticultural wonderland each year.
"For behold, the winter has past,
the rain is over, it has gone.
Blossoms appear in the land,
the time of singing has come."
Song of Songs 2:11-12a, Tree of Life Version (TLV)

Artwork notes::
A soft focus effect was applied to the vertical borders on the left and right sides of the image.
This floral image would make an absolutely lovely poster or print. It is also available as greeting cards, throw pillow, shower curtain and other products which may be ordered from this page. All artwork purchased from my gallery through Fine Art America comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and world-wide shipping is available.
Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ ב ס " ד ] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
The "Fine Art America" watermark in the full resolution preview will not show in the final print/product purchased.
