Artist's Description
This image combines my photos of a Yemenite Jewish Shofar with the Star of David insignia, superimposed over a dramatic sunrise in Chandler, Arizona.
Sundown October 2nd, 2016 (Gregorian Calendar) began the Jewish New Year 5777 (Hebrew Calendar), "Ayin Zayin". This is the time of Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets. During Rosh Hashanah, it is the custom on this High Holy Day to sound the Shofar 100 times.
The Hebrew characters " ע ז " stand for 77, "Ayin Zayin". (Hebrew is read from right to left.)
Zayin [ ז ] is the 7th letter of the Hebrew Aleph Bet (alphabet). Curiously, it refers both to warfare and nourishment, rest.
I believe we are entering the period of days when God is sounding the Shofar and followers of Yeshua Jesus are awakening to our precious Jewish roots, as we contend for the faith (I Timothy 6:12) and for the prophetic words spoken over our lives that refer to God's promises of His exciting destiny and perfect plan.

A fantastic piece of artwork to celebrate 5777 years of Jewish History! I had not realized that the Shofar is sounded 100 times during Rosh Hashanah. Is that over the whole feast or per day? Certainly we are living in the End Times, when Satan and his infernal followers are making an all-out, last ditch effort to corrupt and seduce the hearts and minds of all of humanity, but he will fail in his diabolic plan, when Jesus returns in power and great glory with Michael, the Archangel and he will be bound and thrust down to Hell. However, that does not mean that we can afford to relax our guard. If we do so, he will bind us with this strong cords and drag us down to Hell, We must constantly watch and pray for the strength to detect the lies of The Great Deceiver, so that we do not fall into his snares. My attempts to learn Modern Hebrew have not met with much success, I am afraid. Because of my health issues there is no possibility of my visiting The Holy Land now, so, if I ever get time to take it up again, I think that I will go for Classical Hebrew, as the vocabulary is much smaller and there are fewer variations in the alphabet. I knew about Bach signing his work with the words "Soli Deo gloria", but had not realized that Handel did the same. Congratulations on your sale and many Features!
Brian Tada replied:
Thank you, Kathryn! Traditionally, the shofar is sounded 100 times during the two-day holiday ~ either during its entirety, or during each day. Most importantly, it is a reminder to place our focus on the One True and Living God Who is Sovereign King and Creator of the universe.
