Hillside daisies (Monolopia lanceolata) blanket the rolling hills of the Temblor Range in dazzling golden yellow like a velvet tapestry in south-central California.

This spectacular view is looking eastward on Highway 58 during the Golden State’s 2019 “superbloom”.

With only minor editing adjustments, the colors shown here are how they appeared in early April during this rare blooming phenomenon which happens on average once every 10 years.

While photographing the wildflowers, it is so good to be out in God’s awesome creation, with only the sounds of the wind and the song sparrows singing their praises to the Creator.
