Description
Brilliant quaking aspen (Poplus tremuloides) grace the shoreline of June Lake, California, October 2017.
According to the USDA Forest Service, quaking aspen is the most widely distributed native North American tree species, growing throughout Alaska, Canada, the western and northeastern United States and into south-central Mexico.
The alpine elevation of June Lake at over 7,600 feet is ideal for these majestic trees.
The orange and amber tones are a cautionary reminder of the importance of society getting back to the reverential fear of God. This is not negative fear, rather a respect and awe of the Creator.
I sincerely believe there would be a lot less crime, murder, strife and war if people honored The Almighty and respected their fellow humans as being created in the image of God.
As I was reading Proverbs chapter 1 (on December 1st while preparing this image for posting), verse 7 leaped from the page::
“The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.” (Proverbs 1:7, Amplified Bible)
Indeed, the key to success in life is this:: It starts with respect for God, and respect for people.
May we practice this as part of our lifestyle, and reap the eternal benefits as each of us places our full trust in God through His precious One and Only Son, Yeshua Jesus. This is true living!
Have a fabulous day… and a terrific forever!

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ ב ס " ד ] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
The "Fine Art America" watermark in the full resolution preview will not show in the final print/product purchased.
