This is one of the many beautiful varieties of windows featured in Israel. I took this photo next to the Upper Room on Mt. Zion just outside the Old City walls of Jerusalem during my Holy Land Pilgrimage in November 2009.
The Upper Room location is near or at the actual spot where Yeshua Jesus shared the Last Supper with His disciples prior to His crucifixion and resurrection (see John 13:1-17:26). It is also the place where the precious gift of the Holy Spirit came upon the believers on Pentecost, traditionally regarded as being 50 days after the resurrection of Jesus and recorded in the Second Chapter of Acts, which marked the birth of the Church.

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" - "Glory to God alone".
