That majestic moment … when a Great Egret (Ardea alba) spreads its magnificent wings.....
During a break from errands, I felt a nudge to talk a walk, even though it was a cloudy and chilly day.
God is gently prodding me to exercise more. So important to practice good self-care, particularly during the early days of grieving after my dear Mother recently passed away. Taking care of oneself also includes balanced diet, good sleep, pure water, fresh air, a healthy attitude and most importantly, prayer with a commitment to reading God’s Word, the Bible — His Love Letter to us — each day. What Mom taught me.
This image ~ taken less than two months after my precious Mother Cheryl's Homegoing to Heaven ~ is dedicated in her loving memory. Mom loved to go on nature walks and marvel at God’s creation.
"Adonai, how countless are Your works! In wisdom You made them all — the earth is full of Your creatures." Psalm 104:24 Tree of Life Version (TLV)

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist and photographer of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
