This is a montage of my photos as the Golden Gate Bridge near San Francisco merges with the Golden Gate in the eastern wall, Old City Jerusalem, Israel.
The montage was inspired by my Messianic rabbi, who features an image of the two landmarks side-by-side in his teaching.
When I made my first pilgrimage to Israel in 2009, it was very cool to travel over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco en route to the airport, and less than a week later, to stand in front of the ancient Golden Gate in Jerusalem on the other side of the globe.
I feel this montage illustrates Pappa God's great desire to unify both Jewish people and Gentiles through the bonds of love of His Son, Yeshua Jesus.
"For He is [Himself] our peace (our bond of unity and harmony). He has made us both [Jew and Gentile] one [body], and has broken down (destroyed, abolished) the hostile dividing wall between us."
Ephesians 2:14, Amplified Bible
The caption below the photo montage is a paraphrase of Psalm 113:3:: "From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised" (KJV). I chose this verse because it beautifully illustrates the fact that no matter where we are in the world, we can call upon the Lord not only asking for help, but also to thank and praise Him for His goodness. While the sun sets on the West Coast of the United States in the Pacific time zone (represented by the Golden Gate Bridge), it is simultaneously rising 10 hours ahead in the Israel time zone (represented by the Golden Gate in Jerusalem).

Explanation of photographs
The Golden Gate Bridge::
When it opened to traffic on May 28, 1937, this landmark was the world's longest suspension span, a record held for 27 years until New York City's Verrazano Narrows Bridge was opened on November 21, 1964, which is 60 feet longer than the Golden Gate Bridge.
As of January 2014, 2,025,883,491 vehicles have crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, including northbound and southbound, since its opening in May 1937. The bridge carries traffic for U.S. Highway 101 and California Highway 1.
The Golden (Eastern) Gate::
This magnificent gate in the Old City district of Jerusalem, Israel was built at the original site of Christ's triumphal entry one week prior to His crucifixion and resurrection.
This event was prophesied by the Jewish prophets over 500 years prior (Zechariah 9:9) and fulfilled in John 12:12-15: "The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: 'Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD! The King of Israel!' Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: 'Fear not, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt.'"
According to prophecy, one day Messiah Yeshua Jesus will supernaturally and literally enter this gate again when He returns.
This photo was taken looking upward from the Garden of Gethsemane, across the Kidron Valley where Jesus and His disciples came to pray just prior to His crucifixion and resurrection.

Artwork notes:
Many thanks to you precious ones for your beautiful comments and support, so greatly appreciated! UPDATE, edits made:: 05.28.16 I added color to the lettering "From Golden Gate to Golden Gate". The red represents the International Orange color of the Golden Gate Bridge. The golden color represents the beautiful stonework of the Golden Gate in Jerusalem, Israel. I also added a white halo around the phrase, "Our Lord's name is to be" and colorized the word "praised". I enlarged the gray border, which also increased the overall dimensions of the art piece. It is now sized to be compatible with the width-to-height aspect ratio for greeting cards on Fine Art America.
This image would be very suitable as an unframed sheet metal print, or as a framed print and/or greeting card (quantity discounts on greeting cards are available in packs of 10 or 25). Please see the ordering options on this page for more details. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. All artwork ordered through Fine Art America comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and world-wide shipping is available.
Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist and photographer of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
