Description

The last sunset of the decade is seen over Mt. Tamalpais with Richardson Bay in the foreground near Tiburon, California. The town of Sausalito is in the background.

The low tide exposes tidal mud flats which are otherwise covered over by the bay.

As we cross into 2021, I felt this is a prophetic illustration of God revealing more and more key, hidden things in this New Decade through the penetrating light of the Holy Spirit.

In my heart, I hear these words from Matthew 26:41:

"Watch and pray".

Photographic notes:

Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ב ס " ד] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist and photographer of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
